Larping Pizza

I don't know. I just have yet to see one successfully played without succumbing to the temptations of crunching the bad guys. RP characters seem to be what NPCs are for. PCs seem to have other things to do that require more.

They're around, but I tend to agree. (MarkM is a good example of a RP character. I never see that guy in a fight.) :)

long ago back in the 80's I was in the SCA

what the SCA was then was people reserching there character for months working on there garb making it 100% accurate then going to an event
an event was people talking about there character in third person "Sir John was the son of so so who did such and such "
there aare no levels there are now powers.
the day is spent talking about your character watching Turney's archery (my fav) and fighting yes padded or better armor and ratan weapons
head hits are ok and common (helms required 14 gage steel or better and tested fully)
durring all this normaly people are drinking and were talking real drinks and chatting
Break action to sit donw and eat at a feast and chat and drink more
some politics basicaly clickish.

Fighting requires a lot of training that starts with you becomming a squire this is a begging clickish process.
once a year there is a big event called pensic where people get very drunk do other things that have odd results 9 months later and have big battles!
Giant wars that will determin the size of lands in kingdoms each year!
some swimming in the lake (sometimes without garb) but a lot more drinking

It is was (back in the 80's a wild time) a thiem party with historical garb
thre are no NPC's no Plot no mods just chatting eating and drinking

That is probably the best thing to have come out of that period.

I wasn't born in the 80s.

Only one of them, but yes.

one of the very few cool things about when I was born is the fact I was born smack in the middle of the great blackout of 1965
I like to say it took a lot of power to bring me into the world.

the only thing i dislike about SCA events is that in order to play correctly you're supposed to research historically and play and dress exactly like that period including the materials your clothing and armor are made out of...but then you go there and they just camp around drink beer and watch "battles" going on with people wearing football gear painted black...every once in a while you see someone with some KICK BUTT armor or weaponry or costumes...but....other than that its like if everyone at Alliance went out to a picnic together and talked OOG ...and left the magic, furry guys and pointed ear guys at home....i find SCA events.....UNfun....but ...thats just my POV

i missed something about the era in which a person was born. except for that frank apparently zapped the entire town of all its electricity....i was born in the beginning of a decade and my husband was born the last year of that same decade...so our taste in music and movies is sorta funny. I LOVE 80s stuff ...he ususally has no clue ...

The Northeast Blackout of 1965 was a significant disruption in the supply of electricity on November 9, 1965, affecting Ontario, Canada and Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, and New Jersey in the United States. Around 25 million people and 80,000 square miles (207,000 km²) were left without electricity for up to twelve hours.

I needed a LOT of power to be born :D

OKAY SO ONTO THE TOPIC TITLE PIZZA:

what's your favorite pizza? since I asked I'll start:
ALL ON ONE PIZZA

hamburg, black olives, pineapple, broccoli, feta, extra cheese

peppers and Onions Mmmmmmm

I so love Pizza and so cant eat it anymore ( 175 cals a slice )

though Bacon is good
and there is grilled chicken Mmmmm

well 175 cals is not bad actually...if you only eat 2 slices thats 350 calories...if you're on a 1200 calorie a day diet then you still have quite a few left for breakfast and lunch...unless you're on a 174 calorie a day diet..pizza is still doable :D

well I am GERMAN...half german....the other half is irish..and i married a scotch native...go figure...i'd eat hamburg...just like godzilla...
