I caution you against representing the perception of all players, as that's likely untrue.
 
So, I think that's been plenty of discussion on the subject, as the parties involved are unlikely to shift their opinion on the matter. It's not against the rules, and, honestly, this isn't the appropriate forum to discuss changing that.

My thanks to those who shared their viewpoints on this in a reasonable manner. :)
