C'mon People, I couldn't be there. Lets hear those favorites and see some of those pictures!

Beaten, grass stains on my pants (From tackling Ithica's legs while Balls held him after he got feared), and mud all over my other pair (from landing in the mud last night). This was a great weekend.

-Finally swinging like the orc I'm supposed to be and slaying down a troll last night with flame (courtesy of Ren).
-The low level half of the troll wave in the tunnels late Saturday night. We went through almost everything we had, all my healing (almost) and my life spells... but it was still a great time. We fought very well (afterwards we found out that the APL was a good 3 levels above our whole group) and managed to all come back alive. There was a great sigh of relief when we found out that the wave was over, but if there had been more we had all decided to stay and fight to the last.
-The various desserts that were brought in by Perwin, those were AWESOME!!!!
-Sneaking up on the NPC's just over the bridge into the contested lands. They had no idea we were even there until we jumped from behind the fallen log.
-Ithica's bridge... it may have been made at a prior event, but it saved my arse from a couple of cauldron born when I was wandering with only one other adventurer(Izer)
-Random tavern antics involving Balls, Melleth, and Meghan (Sorry I can't remember your NPC's name)
-The Fuzzy Seal!!!!!! This involved stupid hour hitting the Dragon cabin right as we woke up on Sunday for some strange reason. Corwin... your sleeping bag and seal noises caused me to almost snort my glasses which I had just been adjusting.
-The final wave with the vampires. From watching Jesse(sp*?) run across an entire field and into the woods after getting hit with a fear to the Walgar and Kotual standing back to back unloading an earth storm in each direction. Tab, those contacts were crazy with the creepy coloring. I had a blast during the wave even though I spent a good deal of time getting brought down by the vampires.

THANK YOU NPC's!!!!!

-Jeremy Lopez / Kotual

I almost forgot, doing the interviews with the various members to be in Blythedale (sorry if I looked bored, but that was Kotual not myself)

Penutbutter Fudge! *(I will pay for it for the next two weeks!)

Okay, here it goes.....

* A large part of my fun is based upon the people I hang out with, so having a great team is absolutely key to me having a great time! Go, Blythedale!

* Melleth suffering through an extensive and lengthy interview.... all while keeping his cool and answering questions intelligently. Welcome, Melleth!

* Really getting to know Garathon (and Brian, the player) better. Ivan really has great expectations for him.

* The wave battle with trolls swinging "Vertigo" was both a tough fight and fun to role-play. I especially enjoyed being held back from the battle by the sarr - Parduc's friend... I'm sorry, I forgot your name! :(

* The good: Sleeping almost 10 hours Saturday night...... the bad: missing the awesome wave battle in the mod area.

* Learning a little about Telohk's homeland and their culture. Fascinating. Who comes up with this stuff? Whoever wrote that race packet is a genius, IMHO.

* Seeing Squire Ignatius coming into his own as a leader and not just a righteous zealot/soldier. The character growth is subtle, but noticeable. And maybe he (Brian) didn't consciously plan it; I don't know. But I like it.

* Seeing Rasq after all these years. I hope you come back again soon, Jimmy!

* Getting stuck on the wrong side of the stream with Ithica, Ren, Tien Tien, and Sir Daniel. There are some gorgeous areas to explore and despite almost killing both Ren and Tien Tien trying to jump the stream at one point, we all managed to return safely after being found by half the town.

* Hanging out at the Healer's Guild. I'm not a healer, but gawd, they have fun in there. I want to be an honorary member just so I can hang out there more. Just talking with Gwen, Zat, and Kerrigwen was a blast. Oh, and the treats! I think I ate 4,278 peanut M&Ms this week-end.

* The "dance off" with Tagen in the tavern. Tim knows just how to push Ivan's buttons and he goaded me into a dance off in an attempt to woo the gypsy Natalia (not Sheila Haswell). Though he easily defeated me, Natalia took pity on me and proclaimed Ivan the winner. No thanks to Garathon who I specifically told literally minutes before to get Ivan out any naive and/or embarrassing situations.

* Kotual, my giant orcish earth-caster! He's like a simple, gentle giant and he's always up for anything.
Anyone: "Hey Ko, we're going to storm a dragon mage's castle that's protected by 75 greater vampires."
Ko: "Okay."

* Almost going on the "stealthy guys" module..... in my clanking metal armor..... and bright white shirt. When I heard the cool hook, I was so jealous I wanted to see it for myself. I had to laugh when two of the people on the mod separately told me they were successful because they wouldn't let Daniel try to disarm any of the traps!

* Aven's awesome organizational skills. I mean, what other team has a six page member handbook for each person on the team? It's like working for IBM! I'm wondering when Human Resources is going to call me and ask me to fill out forms for my 401k.

* Hearing about the awesome Mage's Guild elemental modules. I kept looking at Garathon and saying, "Nathan's gonna be pissed that he missed that." I love when Plot gives special attention to groups like that. But I still feel bad for Nathan.

* Plot's ability to continue to plan long-range and throw out great stuff like the missing queen of Icenia and lack of a royal heir. Ivan spent literally hours IG wondering how this was going to affect Blythedale, Ashbury and, selfishly, even Ivan himself.

* Yelling down from the tavern window at Khorwyn to demonstrate his battle prowess one-on-one against a random troll and then watching him scramble as he gets instantly disarmed with the first swing.

* The Seven Virtues of Nobility. Chasity is included (sort of), so there, Sir Eros!

* Perwin's great desserts. And we have to wait until October for more of these treats? Not fair!

* Bowen the sword-and-board fighter! Forget the creaky knees and the fact that we're not 24 anymore..... we old guys have to stick together!

* Arranging an official interview with Walgar..... and he immediately gets drunk. Priceless.

* The great attitude and awesome dedication of the HQ staff, the Plot committee and the NPCs. Thank you.

When we got to the place, I turned around, looked at Danielstar and said, "Hold my weapons, and stay back." It's so fun to pick on Danny, especially since I've seen so many traps blow up in his face. We love ya, bro! :D I was also happy to see that I still had "it" when it came to disarming traps. It really is one of my favorite parts of the game, and plot did a GREAT job this weekend hooking up the rogues.

I have so much to say right now, but I just got out of the shower and need to unpack. I'll probably post my favorites tomorrow. It was great to be back after 5.5 years!

So my favorite moments...Besides my constant happiness of being with an awesome team...

1) Having my Panda-nator cloak with a Panda scavenger to witness...too bad he didn't get it - he wasn't scared of me in the least *pout*

2) Threatening to sit on Baron Ivan Drake when he was vertigo'ed...Khaadi wasn't about to let the Baron go off and get himself killed when he wasn't in fighting shape

3) Being with Parduc and Ragnar all weekend and being "the cute one"

4) Taking a nap on the couch with Uncle Ragnar and holding his arm so tight he couldn't feel it, but he didnt want to wake Khaadi so he let her sleep - and supposedly i was dreaming and twitching

5) Perwin - you are awesome, I am very happy I got to meet you.

6) Hauling vertigo'ed people out of harms way and then running back down either to get a few good backstabs in or grab another fallen friend

7) Skirfir - HAHA! He is priceless (yay Scott) and Khaadi finds him "weird"

8) I have a new toy! OK, well I was the keeper of a new toy - the toy's name is Sun...(think about it and you'll get what I mean)

9) IG: "Goodbye Lady" *lady curtseys low* OOG: "Thank you...*look up at the sky*...I believe" (There is nothing else I need to say...the people involved know what I'm talking about)

10) Saturday night, lowbie side - Guys and Ren, we did an awesome job...yes we were getting dominated and engulfed left and right, but ultimately we came out slimey but still alive (after using all our life spells and a TON of potions)

11) NPC's, Plot, and Staff - LOVE YOU ALL! Thank you for your dedication

Sorry I had to leave early - stupid baby shower was as boring as a squire's meeting - can't wait to see you all again soon!

She is SOOOOOOO right.

Just a few quick faves while I was playing my Panda!

-Finally being able to showcase my new costuming! I've been so pumped ever since I got my coat.

-Planting flowers, what can I say my panda is a kid and is a sucker for pretty things

-Seeing Danielstar again only to start off where I left off with him over a year ago "Hello whitebelt!"

-Getting to meet all the young aged PC's! Go ingame PC's under the age of 10!

-Going on the troll cave module with the lower level PC's. Please take no OOG offense for my characters behavior I thought everyone did a smashing job OOG but my Panda get upset IG at people who make other people feel bad. Corwin (sp) I really like your costuming and shield, very snazzy you remind me of a ranger character in DnD.

-Going on the nature hike with the nobles, Ren and the other blythedale PC.

-Going to the out of control bakery and getting gumdrop buttons!

<<< Corwin (sp) I really like your costuming and shield, very snazzy you remind me of a ranger character in DnD. >>>

I think that's kinda what he was going for!

I had a lot of fun this past weekend. Thanks to all the PCs and NPCs alike.

Favorites:

Monster Camp: The plot committee, staff and NPCs have really come together. Monster camp is as fun as its ever been. And even when there are disagreements or issues, they end with a hug and a smile. Let's keep up the positive energy and rule the larping world! I definitely feel that the NPCs are there to entertain and not to compete with the PCs. Nice!

Tavern Help: Serving food and cleaning dishes can royally suck, but it's much nicer when you have great people and good conversation at the same time. Even the hippies had something interesting to contribute. You guys rock so hard core.

General Lochaber: I love the pain he causes when he's there to "help" and the PCs don't know what to do. He's not so bad, he didn't even attack when the Ashbans broke the "truce" when he got hit with a stray earth storm. Villains with depth and a soul = fun.

Playing Alliance with Dee: I look around and see all you unlucky people who have significant others who don't play. My heart aches for you.

Tractors + Cabin = giggling all weekend. No names need be mentioned.

Lighting smoke bombs with Toddo and melting my fingernail.

Unleashing plot bombs willy nilly throughout the event and seeing the reactions. Dame Sonia has a black cloud that follows her around, LOL.

Unibrows. Every humanoid should have one.

Seeing some old faces in with the new.

Jimmy Haugen. Having one of my earliest and best larp friends back was great. For those that don't know, Jimmy and I larped together pre-Nero. More shenanigans to come!

I look forward to more mischief and mayhem to come.

hahaha i heard about that! i try to drill the rules into them, but they just call me names and walk away

I had a blast this weekend, even though the majority of my team wasn't there. And as usual I know I won't get all my fav's down in one run so here's the initial go.

- Start with the best: Late night Saturday mod. Wow. That's about all I can say, that was amazing. The NPC's were top notch, the fighting was clean and brutal. My adrenaline was pumping so hard I couldn't sleep for the next hour even though I was utterly and completely exhausted.

- Having a total immersion moment for the second month in a row in above said module. A baddie was attempting to engulf Parduc and I didn't see some boffer weapon on his foot. Instead, I saw him being picked up and swallowed foot first and things went red. I just screamed "NOOOOO!" and started swinging on the NPC without calling damage. Hehe who needs rules when your friends are food?

- Seeing Daniel again. I met him very briefly IG back at Lindemere (sp?), and this time was much more fun. Interacting with him and Zatarina was excellent. I'll have to sit and talk to him about the two paths I'm deciding between, since I got Zatarina's view already.

- Night time in the healer's guild. Tons of fun! Seeing sad puppy dog eyes from between the curtains and saying, "Zat, let Baron Ivan in. He's back for more M&M's."

- Bat crap crazy Shya Corak and Glorianna. I love you guys!

- Seeing Baron Ivan and the majority of Blythedale down for the count by their cabins and having a wave of cauldron born between them and the town (on the stairs of the inn) and thinking "Aww crap we have to get to them soon!" Being on the left edge I said the heck with it, jumped down and sprinted all out towards them. I looked back seeing the few trolls that thought to follow me turn around to fight the town and thinking "Awesome! I'm gonna make it." Only to see three dark shapes rise up from in front of Baron Ivan, roar, and charge at me. That was an "oh crap, maybe this wasn't such a good idea" moment. Still, I managed to make it there only after possuming for the first time in probably two years. It's nice to have enough body to take some swings and still be alive.

- The final wave battle. So many fears. So surrounded! Walgar shouting, "Gwen! Guard me!" and being able to stand in front of him and keep his Earth Storm going. I've never run away or stopped people from running away so much in a battle before. I thought I was doing pretty good with six racials...eh time to buy more!

- The awesome NPC's! On that last wave battle they were flinching and howling with pain as Earth Storm packets hit them. Instead of just taking the damage and charging the caster, since they had enough body to do it, they were actually acting like a vampire that was being HURT by those packets would. Kudos guys, kudos.

- Being told after the final wave battle: "Man, you've got guts. Every time I respawned you were *right there* and all I could think was, you should probably get out of here I'm too tough for you." That's the kind of guts and personality I'm going for with this character and I'm really glad it's working.

I'm sure there's a lot more.

That fight was awesome. Ive been trying to npc one of those mods since last september. Im glad that our group of baddies could bring the pain for you. Thanks Tab & Mike for letting us npc's really shine.

other awsome moments:

- dreadlord all the way.
- 30-40 lives a solo land shark and entertaining at least a dozen people made me feel great. I hope it was as much fun for them.
- on that note seeing the reaction to the silver bow (not silver arrows) and being told to eat trolls as they are far more filling.
- vampire mod mid saturday was great even if it was a doorway battle. Ithica finally nailing me with a 110 slay.
- ARCANE FEAR
- Having a number of people come up to me and complement me as an npc. Ive only been npcing for a year and hearing that from veteran players is amazing. It means alot to me and i want to thank you guys for your words.
