I have this strange feeling that the corrupt are suppose to be just there, always a threat, always there, and completely undefeatible, but thats just the impression I got =P

naw I'm gonna kick their *** out of these sheltered lands. We're gonna fix it.

I think I prefer the corrupt over the alternative. The alternative of course being the unknown. Don't you know that when one evil is defeated, and evil greater evil comes in and takes over?

Yeah, like the high orcs. We should kick them out in advance. :P

XD Damnit Rob, I was eating Bratwurst when you said that and I half-choked on it, laughing so hard.

Hey, since I don't go green anymore, I can hate on the poor people that deal with the green makeup and mouth prosthetics all I want.

not to mention a constant source of enemies to fight.
"well, we've exterminated undead, eliminated necromancy and killed everything little and annoying, now what?"
"Oh look, some corrupt are wandering towards us, lets go kill em."

Why would you kill off the earth casters? That's the only way to eliminate necromancy....

Well, good luck healing your wounds then, lol. No more earth casters means no more potion makers which means the amount of potions will slowly go down until there are none left.

And then the richest people in the world are alchemists.

Good luck getting rich on Cure Lights, when every mook and his clan of goblins is cranking them out like candy.

Nah, they'd technically have to stop handing them out as loot, as it's technically impossible to make anymore. If logistics does hand them out after all the potion makers are gone, then I'll complain :P

Just because you kill off all the ones you can find means that the few left would go to ground, organize a good series of go betweens and fronts, and just try to stay off the radar while churning out potions at nicely inflated prices.

Remember, PCs are the minority of the population. Especially when you consider the 'Monster Races'.

lol have you seen NPC numbers lately...? I'd say PC's are strongly a majority of the population... ;)

David,

I think he means in a story sense. IE if your kingdom/lands have 100 PCs there are perhaps thousands if not millions of other sentient creatures (monsters, NPC humanoids, etc).

If not then I am confused by the statement too.

Paul hit it square. You have to remember the game world is a lot larger than we can rep with a dozen npcs and a boy scout camp. ;)
