Stahn and the tower on the 9

I have received an anonymous tip that Stahn Revan died 6 days ago in his encounter, if this is true his aversion to magic may prevent him from resurrection via any means.

Also I was contacted by one of my old contacts from the Northlunds, yesterday about Stahn. Nothing has come of this encounter yet, I shall update as things progress.

I agree strongly with Lord Bluewater on this subject. Now is the perfect time. I feel this should be done sooner then later.

Squire Siril

It was 5 days ago not 6 I apologize. And I agree if we are to strike now would be the time.

Yet our peace with the Northlunds is already tenuous, with the one tower being destroyed by the star and the recent insults that were tossed to the Hearth Guard outright attack would be foolish.

But, if the dwarves could be brought in as allies and if High King O'Dell would agree that would potentially grant us higher success and eliminate any threats of outright war with a foreign kingdom. Furthermore, we are on good terms with the Magistrates and High Nobility of Wayside, such actions could placein jeopardy that fragile relationship.

Liddia

We need to first inspect as to why Lady Fallingstar's understanding of the events, and Terra's don't match up, the details in Terra's tale add some credibility to the Dwarf, but it may be entirely possible that both tales are false and the two are trying to determine who is interfering with them. Stahn does have a glib tongue and a clever mind.

As to causing war, I see no reason why unaffiliated brigands assaulting a tower that has lost it's defenses would cause many immediate instances as long as we avoid the trap of talking to folks that we shouldn't be having discussions with.

I would rather not try to forge alliances at this point, all that will do is tip our hand. Talks at such a level are extremely difficult to conceal and they'd serve to confirm any actions are are taking. Are the dwarves serving as slavers in the Northlunds under King O'Dell's authority, if not what group does he represent? I'm afraid I'm not well versed in dwarven power structures.

I'll reach out to Sam and see if he can confirm the null magic zone, which would more confirm Terra's tale, as well as confirm the source of such locations.

Ultimately concerns about repercussions aside, the Northlunds enslave multiple races, I've spent almost five years, a good portion of time to us shorter lived races, building the resources and framework to be able to begin to sap the strength out of them and free so many Wylderkin and Biata from their grasp, I'm not going to stop, or waste an opportunity now, even as I take pains to minimize the effect.

If a time comes and needs be, let the blame for these attacks be laid upon me for a time, my compassion for at least one of the slave races is well known and I have already been recognized in at least one of the assaults. It would be nice at least if the next time you point to me as the cause for a problem/war that you were at least correct Liddia. Unless you think I've already forgotten about the war with the Dark Dwarves and the accusations I received in those days?

Foss, I'll reach out to Sam, assuming we can confirm the null zone, may I tap you to lead the assault of those with martial skills? I am afraid I myself am busy with another project at the moment and won't be able to pay it personal attention in the time frame we likely have. Understand that my goal at the moment is damaging but limited assaults, do not destroy the tower, the goal is to free those within, for a number of reasons, information being one of them, and cause economic damage without forcing one of the council to become personally engaged. (Remember in their eyes slaves and goods can be replaced.)

Terra,
Do you remember if the dwarf said what happen to Stahn. Did he escape, die (as Lady FallingStar has hear) or just vanish. Also do you know if he know of the fate of the tower and its slave. There would be not need to assault the tower if the slave already escaped.

Circle Master,

Some of your words has stuck out to me. What do you mean by "if you disbelieve"? Are you stating that Stahn believes magic is not real so it does not effect him?

Aramis, If I recall correctly, Stahn had told the Dwarf he would be trying to escape the tower. It's possible that he was defeated trying to escape the tower. Another thing came to my mind. He used a sword that the Dwarf said looked to be made of Obsidian infused with Celestial Magic.

~Terra

Enan,
Yes, I will lead the rescue mission to the tower if the info come back true.

Aramis,
I have seen Stahn in action. Magic doesn't affect him. I've spoken to other adventures who have come across others like him in other lands. His kind are not affected by magic because that believe it doesn't. That is why, if Terra source is true, he was unaffected by the obliterates used against him.
I have as much of not more rage and hatred against Stahn for what he had done to this land and for what he has done to me personally as everyone else. But, I wish to send back to his home. I plan to take a trip to his homeland and speak to his people. The answer may be there.

Terra,
Thank you for bringing all this to our attention.

Squire Foss Siril of Wayside

*Terra sounds slightly annoyed, though it's not being directed at anyone*
I was just thinking about the ending of the Dwarf's tale when I realized I had forgotten something rather important. Most of the Biata made it out of the tower, only a few didn't. It took about 50 men to take down Stahn and his body didn't really dissipate, it turned to dust and blew away in the breeze.

I am sorry. I wish I had remembered that part sooner.
~Terra

I agree with Enan. Tactically that makes the most sense. Perhaps we can try to draw some of them out of the no magic zone as well.

Terra, if you need assistance scouting please let me know.

-Thaddeus

I just got back from scouting the tower with Thaddeus and Draco. It is in fact a no magic zone and there is one Biata there who is locked in a room labeled: Experiment #20. I didn't know what to make of this until I returned to the Flaming Skull and one of the Biata from the tower showed me her memories from the event.

She was being escorted through the halls-just before Stahn made it magic free- and passed that same room. She looked in and saw a female Biata who was sitting calmly in the middle of a very strong ward. The strongest that Biata has ever felt.

The tower itself still has guards, but it's pretty empty. Most of the stuff has been moved to the other two towers. I do think that, if we aim to remove that Biata, we need to do it sooner rather then later.
~Terra

Unfortunately I am working on something at the moment and will not be able to be in attendance this next gathering. But Nehani and Arkemedies will be in town, Who can take the reins and make sure this gets looked at?

-Enan

Terra,
If you are comfortable. I would like to view this memory. If others go i want to come. I found out some important information that has moved me to be ok with acting dirctly in this matter and the Biata may be more responsive with my aid.
~Aramis

Of course, my friend! Next we meet, I will allow you to view this memory.
~Terra

All,

Zee results of our recent Hindsight ritual show zat a specialized dagger vill be needed to cripple/kill Stahn permanently.

In addition, Anret, the odd land zat some people have visited is populated by Golden Elves according to zee Good Doctor (anyone else think he's anything but good?)...Where have I heard mention of golden elves? Menra Mummy/The Nine/True Name Bandits...can't find zee links but anyone else have them?

I have no visibility into anything else involving zis as of now and vill share information vith all parties freely.

Lord Enan,

I think, given Draco's dwarven connection and possible ability to get a conspicuous message zat you might be able to at least get coverage against your actions. I for one, vould prefer you not be zee lightning rod for another war but vould also rather not zee entire adventuring community be burned an effigy for acts of war against a foreign power. I agree we may vish to delay, but we can only play with the tigers tail so long before it has to paw at us.

Zat is all,

Jehan

Jehan,

Menra was a Golden Elf when he was alive and part of the legends talk of him learning the true name of the moon causing her to waxes and wanes to this day. The Nine are looking for True Magic and I was told that Illumina (the book Menra had and was eaten) is tied to the Book of Darkness in the they share a common origin. The True Name Bandits have not discovered True Magic as Han has not a Golden Elf. From talking with the Not So "Good Doctor" I was told that the Golden Elves use their passion to control the elements in Anret. In reviewing Terra's memory Han was at the tower talking with Jasper Apprentice to Leviticus of The Nine. in the conversation Han was refereed to as Sagittarius Apprentice.
