Kaida Sanu Ore
**Ore is a Bastian currency that is as "good as coin", which can be used in exchange of coin with any Bastian Merchant (NPCs & logistics). Other adventurers will have their own preferences of if they prefer Coin or Ore. During auctions, the adventurer will be given their choice so long as there is ore/coin available to provide that choice.**

Future Bastian Evacuation
Arcanist Zed has reported and confirmed that conditions will be ideal at the end of this year, to create a bridge between the Mists and The Nimbus. Allowing the Adventurers to travel and then escort evacuees from Bastion to Ikari's Hope. This effort is expected to require a good deal of Pillar Reagents. No exact minimum number is yet available but to plan for "more is always better". Allowing the creation, stability, duration, amount of evacuees, speed of travel, among other attributes.

At this time, while no one is being asked to give up their private collections of such things - please be mindful of your travels & adventures and what may come of future town auctions. These are things we know work and we have been told that we will need in order to save Bastion lives.

Anyone who wishes to preemptively give up an amount of their stores - the communal supplies with barter with what it has available to freely utalize. More information as it's available in future discussions here in Private adventurer discussions.

Loreli and Fates Pawns possess the items and I believe Thorne has some of the catalysts

You can find our list all updated here

Question for the assembled.

The Bastian Enchanted Dragon Necklace was specifically saved for when we eventually opened & traveled the portal.

As our next gathering is expected to be that exact event - should I consume some of the enchantment's stamina so that we will be able to use it during this upcoming gather should we have need.

OR

Do we think that we probably won't need to activate it this next gathering as we are going to be just opening the portal, and save its endurance for the next and future gatherings?

I do say, draw it forth and unleash its magic upon the world! We live but brief, soaring lives; all we leave behind are the stories our friends tell around the tavern.

Also, what do a "Bastian Enchanted Dragon Dragon Mecklace" actually do?

Yes, better to use and lose than lose and not use. Or something like that.

Shennerkins - Ah, now I do see the necklace can magically Whisper on the Winds, but that are not of much help knowing what it actually do. I have read this ritual before and, unless my mind do be playing tricks (an admittedly likely event), there be a whole smattering of different ways the magics can unfold. Are it not more difficult to cast these magics when you do not know the recipient? And I do believe the message itself do be short and sweet when the caster is young in years, but far longer and more robust if the Ritualist do have some grey in their feathers. It be a complicated bit of ritual magics and, not to mention, not usually placed onto a piece of bric a'brac but simple cast from the parchment. There are far more complexities to this bauble than meets the eye.

So, could you be a dear and mayhap explain more about what the item itself do do? Unless you are not of a magical bent and do not know. It be a complicated thing doing magics - I myself have only recently learned to navigate the Magistarial winds and can say it be no easy task. Mayhaps your lord would know?

But in any case, Sweet Maiev do speak great truth - I still be thinking using it be far more fun to use than not.

From what we gathered when it was collected and identified it was once forged by a powerful Scholar. Imparting the ritual's effects to be invoked by the wearer of the necklace twenty times, at a limit of once per Fortanis Solar day.

I am familiar with the ritual in question and likely have one of foreign lands to consult if needed for exact particulars. However when Identified with the High Arcanist, Reynold Illkari he too could not feel the exact limits of the necklaces power. Having not yet identified its creater beyond "powerful scholar" he could not speculate to its limits either.

Reynold encouraged that when we use it to be mindful of questions or statements which could bear the weight of a single word response. Attempt to be succinct, but judging by its overall power, common or simple sentence or two would be a safe assumption. Use of, or deeper investigation & identification might reveal more specifics but the same could likely be obtained with trial and error.

While a Celestial Circle of Power is by no means required for its use - combining its use with Vision or Identification while it is being used would be my initial recommendation for the assembled. But as it is pure guess and assumption based on my previous identification & conversation with Reynold, another equally plausible assumption could be of equal value or accuracy until investigated or tested.

When hearing this, one note of caution I would give. Since we do not know the full nature of who created this and its means, we should take care to notate the messages and responses. If we later learn that the creator had ill intent and was also hearing the messages, we should be aware of what they learned.

I think the current proposal for use of the item seems benign enough, as long as we keep that in mind.

I personally think that is a fantastic idea and a wise precaution.

This past Market, the communal supplies engaged in several transactions.

  • Withdraw:
    • Donated Fortanis Coin & closely bound reagents to help balance end of Market Auction
  • Exchanges:
    • To help exploration group balance their own groups splitting of collected treasures (breaking down currency, exchanging reagents ect)
  • Purchase:
    • Ritual of Reverse Life Force (9g, from traveling merchant "Negotiator")
    • March of the Untiring x5 (5g, from a group of adventurers personal treasure splits)
    • Reagent "Spark of Creation" x4 (2g, from a group of adventurers personal treasure split)
  • Earning:
    • Ore
      • those adventurers who paid auction debts with gold were added to the Communal chest. As we know that "negotiator" and other merchants we may discover will accept it as currency, so the communities supplies can purchase things (like the reverse life force) with Ore instead of fortanis coin.
      • Ore discovered from community events was withheld for the same above reason
      • Total Ore transactions were less than 10 gold Ore.
        • Now that the supplies have some coin of its own, it will "purchase" the Ore as best as the communal supplies are able.
    • Fortanis Coin
      • 1 share from the end of Market Auction
      • Past adventure day Market town shares
  • Donations:
    • Adventuring Equipment
    • Crafting Materials
    • Necromantic Ritual, to be used in canabal workshop for emergency community adventuring equipment needs.
    • Fortanis Coin
      • From various adventurers who included the community supplies in their personal exploration group splits.

Until further Notice, the community supplies will  always purchase ritual: March of the Untiring at 1g each, and Sparks of Creation at 5s each so long as the supplies has the currency available to do so. These are the base reagents to empower our artifact hammers to construct additional pylons Buildings increasing the size and resources of our settlement.

Shen will have the inventory list above updated within the next few days

The community supplies also will now contain a (irl) First Aid Kit containing very basic needs for light wounds and irritations that are to trivial to require magical healing or dedicated medical personnel.

Should anyone need to make a transaction with the communal supplies, please find: Abom, Binar or myself.

Hi,

Thorn bought 5 March of the Untiring for 10g total, 2g a piece.

Apprentice Magistrate Shen,

If you need those crafting materials transformed into items in the future I think it would be beneficial for both of us to work out a deal to lend my skills to utilizing those reagents on your behalf. Reach out to me privately if you wish to work out such a deal.

Kolrabi,

It might do our budding community some good to attempt to take inventory not only of the skill of the adventurer Trade Skills - but also what professionals came with the expedition force.

For the moment, while not binding or absolute let alone Governing opinion - the materials won't spoil and in their current form provide the communal supplies options in the future. Where as crafting in the short term, could result in the supplies stockpiling and future events leave the community with a specific need that's different.

Though I do admit there are certain things that are an all around "safe assumption" in the course of adventuring and once the communal supplies have more an ability to stockpile those assumptions I believe we should.

With our recent find of melons that scream and the "teeth" are its seeds - this isn't the lone strange thing we are bound to cross paths with more strange things, and with The Doctor's evaluation of the Bedlam Bears degradation of their biological contamination - we may find ourselves needing a variety of antidotes and various Potions with little notice and I would rather us not caught unaware until we have better knowledge. But that said, a detailed list of who can craft such things would be a great resource at market gatherings.

Hello Fellow Adventuring Spirits!

This past Market the Communal Supplies did not have a whole lot going on, but what it did have is very impactful.

Donations
Nikosi donated between 10-20 Foundation Reagents which were a mix of Sparks of Creation & Motes of Destruction.
a Single Gold Ore was donated
Kaida Sanu Ritual "Extend Duration" was purchased in a group auction and then donated.
Though I think I dropped this or someone was holding it for me during a wardrobe malfunction in our continual effort to be warm. Should you see me just let me know that said ritual is this one, and not a new seperate donation. though it may be in the bottom of some bag that I find as I unpack from our adventures. Simple message me privately, or I will update should I find it somewhere - or I will replace it by the time we gather again in the spring.
Kaida Sanu Catalyst "Greater Circle of Power", was obtained from a final town function - donated via public show of hands.
Kaida Sanu Foundation Reagents, which were a mix of Sparks of Creation and Motes of Destruction, was obtained from the final town function - donated via public show of hands.
Regarding Sparks of Creation and Motes of Destruction - what they are being used for and why was also discussed and the notion of the "town wide events" to simply continuously donate these items from "Town Wide Events" seemed to be predominately in favor. But as every market has different attendance those that address that auction will make a reminder of this going forward in the event we have new faces or public opinion, or town needs, change on this topic going forward - please see other relevant communications on this subject to the salient details.
This solely and specifically **ONLY** applies to the Town Wide Events. Personal and small group events and activities in which these items are discovered are yours or your party's to do with as you decide. This ongoing evaluation decision will **ONLY** be applied to those few town wide events each market.
I imagine, that we as a community will discover a specific need for Flickers of Time, so I would not advise consuming them in various rituals just yet - they are powerful if not specific to these mists reagent that we don't yet fully understand or know of personal or community need for them - yet. That will change in time and I hazard that the time it takes to make such a discovery will make us thankful that we saved them up to that point.
Purchases
in an effort to offset as much as the supplies were capable, the Supply chest forfeited its supply of gold coins to the Town Auction in exchange of the Motes, Sparks, and Greater Circle Catalyst. While by no means 100% equated their value, the Communal supplies gave 100% of what it had to do what it could to offset that "cost" in appreciation of the Community's generosity.
Withdraws
This past Market we charged a Building Hammer, to construct additional pylons buildings in our settlement. This ritual was performed by Wayside Apprentice Earth Guild Master Eve, and consumed 1 March of the Untiring and 10 Sparks of Creation.
Ambassador Thorn, made a withdraw of some Foundational Reagents to send to Bastion. Part of our mission is to funnel resources back to Bastion to attempt to help them stave off the Nimbus collapsing. However as we do not know exactly what they might need or in what quantity, we elected for a small donation and then to await word of how impactful and useful that donation was. Such as whether that is the precise thing they think they need, or if they need something different. As well as if it was just right, to little or to much. The donation specifically was 3 Sparks of Creation, 2 Flickers of Time and 2 Motes of Destruction.
Earnings
At the conclusion of the Town Wide Event auction, the remaining Silver pieces which could not be evenly distributed were given to the Supplies as its "share". It was a small pile of silver that was either just shy of, or just over 1 gold's worth.
Adventuring Supplies & Materials
No changes.
Settlement Supplies
The Community Chest is currently holding a fair bit of Soil & Food, that sadly could not be given to Joanne due to her demise at the mouth of a Bone Drake. Once the Settlement Specialists are able to appoint a new person to be in charge of the Supply Stores - this will be given for inventory and use.
Once I have everything unpacked and Organized, I will update the master list of the Supplies current inventory.

Good friends; I would like to remind everyone once more that I donated a workshop of convinence to the town so they can use it to create alchemical and brewing supplies. Ambasador Thorne has it in their possesion. I desinged this shop so it can be portable, it can canibalize those nasty necromantic ritual scrolls, and also allow up to three people to use it. With kindness and in service: Heinricht.

The Communal Supplies had several transactions. I endeavored to maintain an accounting in the book I acquired to keep as ledger. Sadly that list was only what was being added or subtracted. Largely as our Fellow adventurers would continue to provide me things for the supplies but I didn't always know who they were from or what they were for.

An exact break down will be provided in the coming days, as well as an update to the inventory listing (first post of thread).

Some generic off memory information,
  • Acquired Kaida Sanu Invest/Divest & Ritual of Woe, at the cost of our remaining Gold and Silver Ore, from Negotiation.
  • Adventurers discovered two Necromantic Rituals, which were not auctioned and added to the Necromantic ritual stores.
    • It is possible that a fellow adventurer has discovered something which these rituals can be used for. Research is preliminary. This function will not be their intended purpose and will not be Necromantic in nature - consider it similarly aligned to a Cannibalistic Workshop. Research is being made to cannibalize such rituals and catalysts to then create and build something different with that power. More information as it becomes available and solid enough for public consumption - but that adventurer and I wanted to make sure the community was aware that we have a possible use for these things, they will not simply gather dust... assuming the research bares fruit.
  • The communal supplies acquired several gold and silver from town splits that did not split evenly.
  • Acquired a fair amount of Adventuring Equipment
  • The Supplies used 12 Pillar Reagents (4 of each), Scroll & Catalyst to Cast the Greater Celestial Circle, with the remaining 4 reagents supplied by myself, Beryl, and Loreili (sp?).
    • Those invested (if memory serves) are:
      • Fate's Pawns: Myself, Beryl, Desylvia, Isabo
      • Welcome Club: Binar, A-Bomb,
      • Avairy: Kohlrabi, Dixie Lee
      • Idle Hours Tavern Owner: Asuke
      • Lorelei, Glen, Roff, Auryn, Eve
    • The Circle (at our current Site) Is located on the second level, directly above the taverns main entrance. When facing the building from the outside. The Greater Earth Circle is to the left of the fireplace, the Greater Celestial Circle is to the Right.

If there are any questions, or if during market any one ever is curious what we have available as they don't recall exact specifics from this inventory list - Feel free to ask me when we have down time. Sadly I realize due to the preparation of ritual casting and then the considerable time spent ritual casting, I was running around a lot. Please, Please, don't assume that I can't answer your question or make time for us to go to the chest and get the answer if I don't know it off hand. I will almost always look like I'm busy, so while I appreciate the respectfulness of waiting till i seem to have a free minute - I don't want that waiting to be at detriment because i will never look like I have that free minute. If you don't ask, I can't answer or set a time to be with you to get that answer.
