Dungeon Run teams for the Gauntlet

Brooke you go ahead. I’ll sit this one out.

    Sling use?

Make a max length longbow with a “Y” at one end and a grip in the middle and there is your hoopak.

High Magic and Quicken Meditation Interactions

Except for this part. Try finding a Crafting Marshall in the middle of combat and leave with them to go to the crafting station. Good luck with that.

    Foundation blow + precise blow

What are you talking about, giving up reach, use a bow.

    Foundation blow + precise blow

If I were to combine Foundation Blow with Precise Blow would the result be “30 spellstrike body” in place of “30 spellstrike flame” if I were using a sixth level evocation bolt as my signature spell?

    Good to be back.

“The only thing I hate more than illithid are undead, Hamish growls. Looks like I’m getting a twofer. You’ll have my sword on this venture just let me know when and where we gather.”

    Good to be back.

Hamish nods in greeting. “Well met, Jaxx. Sit, tell Papa Hamish your problems,” he says with a smile. “Mint tea?” “Hello, Mar. Sit. Add your 2 coppers.” Hamish shoves a chair out with his foot.

    [.11] Fighter defences.

So in other words be all I can’t be except a fighter

    [.11] Fighter defences.

Still no answer to the question. Why are fighters the only class that has to rely on others or items to defend against 9th level spells? Oh, and mettle doesn’t work against Doom.

    Good to be back.

Hamish enters the Ogre’s Head in search of a drink after the ordeal of travelling by portal. Upon obtaining suitable libation he settles into his usual seat with his back to the wall and scans the room for familiar faces.

    [.11] Fighter defences.

Why don’t fighters have any defences that are effective against 9th level spells but every other class does?

    [.11] Bonus Armor Points

Yes that is why it is in the playtest document because it is changing. The 1.3 armor rules no longer apply. From most recent playtest document .11b. “Most other parts of the system remain as they are today – head and torso locations are still doubled in value, bonuses may be given for Master...

    [.11] Bonus Armor Points

Per location bonuses are not doubled. It should be: Up to 48 for armor 2-6 for genre/mastercraft 8 for real material bonuses=up to 62 points of armour.

    Loot bag dicussion

    Good idea. Reduce ninja looting.

    [.11] Offensive Intercept

Make that within reach of your weapon because if your opponent is within reach of your hand you are charging.

[.11] Riposting strike, stealth skill that gives martial prereqs?

Easy solution, remove riposting strike from stealth side entirely. Let fighters have something that rogues want but will have a hard time getting. Kinda like dodge.
  17. D

[.11] Riposting strike, stealth skill that gives martial prereqs?

Because rogues need more stuff! I mean the best damage output in the game, pseudo spellcasting (alchemy and create trap), and dodge and evade, the best defence in the game and the best weapon defence in the game, isn’t enough for you. Fighters were beat bloody by the nerf bat, give us something.
  18. D

    [.11] Unified Blow

Why bother expending precious XP on herbal lore when create trap has no pre-reqs and gives you access to sweet trap globes. Nah, never mind, point for point alchemy is the way to go.

    [.11] Purifying/Draining strike

I’d agree with you if the call was Spell Strike Drain/Purify. But it is a weapon strike which are not even supposed to be magic. It is moderately ambiguous like calling 1.3 alchemical cause damage stuff necromancy.
  20. D

    [.11] Purifying/Draining strike

Pretty sure the answer is going to be yes but the question still begs asking. Is “Weapon Strike Drain” necromancy?
