Favorites June 2009

[Duke Frost]

Dee and I arrived on Saturday so missed a bunch of the event, including a Saturday wave battle. But I still had a bunch of favorites.

Seeing Karl Weaver for the first time in years. It's about time you came back.

Rolling a 0. Then another 0 on the first ritual I ever cast as a PC. Hopefully all the bad luck is out of me now.

Seeing Brian ready to flee as my ritual marshall after I rolled 00.

Watching Sun Li throw silvers off the deck and Evie searching for them.

Mugg, the hobling with the reagents I needed.

Chasing down Torrie in the wave battle. All that roller skating has paid off and gotten me back in shape.

Roleplaying with so many...Heresy, Qualin, Tetsu, Evie, Joaquinn, Ignatius and too many others to mention.

Not having to rezz Eldarion. I was really expecting him to do or say something stupid, haha.

The new players and hanging out and chatting with them OOG in the kitchen.

Seeing NPC camp run okay without me. Yay! Bonus points for this one.

The auction. Got some stuff I needed and some I didn't know I needed. Call me Captain Find'rth the seagoing dark elf, oh yeah.

Once again going head to head legally with Sir Eros. Some dark elves just think they're above the law. At least I didn't get fined this time.

Bill's Hobling ambassador. Nothing like two Lord Ambassadors at the same event.

Night time hunting down at the creek with Eldarion, Heresy and Aislynn.

My absolute favorite is seeing our two newest (and youngest?) plot people Amelia and Colin out there running their plotlines and encounters. Huzzah.

Looking forward to the next one and probably PCing again. Woohoo!

I have lots of favs but I am soooo late for the gym, so I will list the big 2 that stand out in my memory.

1) The Karid. that was awesome. seeing you guys RP those guys was bad-***. Thank you Chazz for really going through the motions as I taught you read/write. that was very fun. The reward was also... extremely... bad-***

2) The Cypher. it was like stretching my brain legs again. i was so glad I was around to do the scholar work because i fricken love those.

It was the only way oe of us would have been able to hit you. hahahaha it was alot of fun though.

Yea that definitely qualifies as a favorite of mine as well... I knew you were coming but when Find'rth and Kirie (is that how you spell it?) walked in Saturday afternoon it didn't stop me from getting a sudden rush of adrenaline/anxiety.

Maybe late night hunting will be a repeatable experience! I'd love to see ya IG again, it was definitely fun to see other dark elves, not to mention probably the most longtime ones I've met yet.

In no particular order:

1) Rollling with the Hunt. Monsterous level of support. They make me feel very effective. It's class.

2) Aislynn - No character has ever been nicer to me.

3) Hunting undead Tori with Aislynn, Eldarian and Mecha-Findarth.

4) Obidia and his werewolf head.

5) Brian Bender's squire going completely off on those poor NPC girls while we were all looking on with a mixture of horror and levity.

6) The ever charming Wynter.

Plenty more, but I’m out of time.

Don't have a lot of time so i'll be quick. This event was fantastic for me, so I'll just go with the top twelve.

1. Azura and Aislynn hanging back out. Felt like ten years ago again Colleen - except better because this time I have enough spells to backpack you properly

2. All the roleplay with Heresy and Qualin. It felt like the three of us had been adventuring together for years. Gary, Henry: Thank you for making my weekend rock.

3. Muggins' Purify save during the bloop battle . Thank you Ted!

4. 4:30am Death Rogue hunt with Eldarion, Heresy, and Find'rth. Hearing Joaquinn in trouble to run to the rescue, and have Tori already somehow be at the bottom of the hill. Amazing.

5. Lupiticus and the 2 handed sword of doom.

6. Gebous and the Wall of Force mod. "Yeah? well...you can stay in the there for the next ten minutes."

7. Kral's head on a pike.

8. Lupiticus, Joaquinn and Aislynn being frustrated about the Dominion "second thoughts" from the nobles. Walking out of the tavern for Trollweed, and passing a Dominion soldier 'looking for forgiveness'. Thinking about cacking her right then and there, but then moving on...still having the discussion while Joaquinn and Lupi smoke, and then suddenly hearing people screaming in the tavern for healers...and coming back to find out that the Dominion soldier just blew up the entire noble's table. Looking at Squire Garathon afterword and saying, "So, still having second thoughts?"

9. The Noble's meeting. Speaking about what had occured three years ago, and having Sir Eros turn to Aislynn and go "So, why aren't you a Squire yet?" "That's a very good question." Dodge!

10. Bumping into Find'rth. "sorry...OH I'm sorry...sorry.." *stumblestumble* I heard Scott laughed after I left the room.

11 Tetsu with Muttonchops.

12. Beyond amazing to see how many old timers showed up for this event. Keep coming back!!

i can agree with scott's assessment of my physical lack of prowess... but it won't be like that forever.. i'm drinking milk...
