In Game Economy

Nu unh -- against the rules -- no religion in game, and pennies clearly have the word GOD appearing on the top of the obverse side.

The rules state that there is no religion in the game, *not* that there can be no items with potential religious significance present in the game.

And the word GOD is only potentially of religious significance?

In the specific context, no more than a player wearing a crucifix unobtrusively around their neck.

Keep in mind, our founding fathers largely had a view of "some big oogy force out there that we can't explain" and just called it God. (That's an over-simplification, but it gets the point across.)

But that's tangential to the conversation.

Not desiring to use an easily forge-able currency though, doesn't that make gems a little iffy?

You deliberately miss my point, sir. Wasn't it just a few days ago that you berated someone else for just that?

It makes coins a little iffy too, really. It's not that hard to get tokens pressed, just expensive. And our coin isn't exactly unique enough to make a presser ask questions about copyright infringement.

At base, this is a game where we have to trust our players not to cheat, because enforcement is damn near impossible for anything but the most blatant cases.
