From somewhere near the middle of the room, Kai looks up at Jack as he speaks. "That was..." she tries again, "that was my home." The tears that had been threatening finally come, rolling silently down both cheeks. She had refused to let go until her friends were triaged and stable, but now it was all out.

She curls up on the floor, nose to tail-tip, making a much smaller ball than anyone would think possible. Still quiet, her sobbing is betrayed by the shaking of her body, punctuated by the occasional hiccupy gasp.

"Sarry- ah, Marshal Remmington - thank the stars that you made it!" The tall man exclaims, placing a hand over the one on his shoulder, the unease clear on his face. "I've already used my direct whispers to her today. I would have to find a ritual, and she might not be able to reply if she doesn't have the same. At least until sunset..." he perks, and looks around the room, "Unless Xamot is here?"

"Culdranth? Yes, I know it was him." Lord Blackburn swears under his breath, as his gaze sweeps the chamber, then nods to Evo's assertion. Some of the other civilians and Sanctum members gasp at the mention of the ancient red dragon. "He's right - what's done is done. There's not much that can be done at the moment, until word arrives... or if, stars forbid... we don't hear from them."

Ruki's ears perked up at the mention of his friend, Xamot. He approached the tall man, sadly shaking his head, "Unfortunately, he is not here. He and Arlyne both left the Breach about 12 hours before it happened....I'm just hoping they weren't caught in the blast."

Watching the people scurry from the Portal Room, the ArchMage makes his way into the chamber, ignoring those that pay their respects to him as he enters the room. His eyes scan the area, seeing the destruction of the portal that once led to the Breach, the dust, smoke and debris whirling about the room. He spots Sarryn and makes his way over to him.

"Marshal Sarryn, please report." he asks already motioning absently to those around who are trying to pay their respects to the ArchMage to continue doing what they were.

The Lord utters another curse, but nods in thanks at Ruki's response before the Archmage enters the room.

Straightening, he bows crisply in respect to Az’Caine (not waiting for acknowledgement before rising) as he stops before them, addressing the young Remmington.

Quickly bowing to the ArchMage and standing at attention, "The Breach sir... it's gone!" Pausing briefly "not long after we dealt a blow to Al'Zoon by killing his time elementals, while the council observed us and left. Xorta has gone with the council, he was one of the Time elementals that we killed. Culdranth came back with Al'zoon and destroyed everything, every cabin, every magic defense that we had on everything and I can safely assume that he destroyed both circles, the crystals and well the portal I think is the most obvious" taking a breath. "On the lighter side, the Lux Obscura is up and protecting people so we have that which also may have pissed them off. We have Countess Gyverin and Marquis Xerxes stuck out at the observatory with many who still need to get out if it has not already been destroyed."

The ArchMage listens carelfully to his words and considers them for several minutes. "I have sent a few, agents, to the area to assess the damage and if Culdranth and Al'Zoon remain. When they return we can make plans from that information. Running out into the wilderness when there may ba a very angry Dragon out there would surely be a death sentence for anyone who attempted it." Az'Caine looks around briefly.

"Try to get every one out into the city and settled. Take a host of the Sanctum if you require an escort. Magi Kurak will begin cleanup and repairs to this chamber at once. We have dignitaries arriving shortly, so we need to vacate this area as soon as possible. Take those that require the services of the Earth Weavers to their enclave. I have already sent a messenger to the Fatespinner explaining the situation and she will likely mobilize them to care for the sick or injured."

The ArchMage looks around the chamber once again, his face showing a grim determination. "When you are done that task, report to Marshal Farr'Shen for your next assignment. Once the dignitaries are settled in the city, I will be taking my leave to speak with a very old friend about what has transpired and what she thinks should be our next step."

The ArchMage waits briefly for any other reports from those in the room before he begins to turn and leave.

Sarryn nods "I will go see Marshal Farr'Shen after I help everyone here get settled" bowing to the ArchMage, I gather up my things and help who ever needs it

"My vested interest aside of seeing my cousin and the Marquis returned safely from the area of the Sanctum’s new asset," Blackburn bows once more as Az'Caine turns to leave. "I am forever at the disposal of the Penta- Conclave, my lord Archmage."

His pale eyes land on Sarryn. "Simply command me as you wish, Sanctum Marshal Remmington."

"I think getting this portal room cleared and everyone on their way to getting settled should be our first order of business, after we will try to get word to Countess Gyverin to make sure that she knows that the breach has gotten out and that she should not head to it, but to bring her people to the Lux if the way is clear" looking around the room and assessing the situation "After we have that in hand we will see Marshal Farr'Shen and see what task he has next for us hopefully regarding the problems we are now faced with"

Kai recovers enough to notice the arch mage is here. She snuffles once loudly, and glances up at him. (Has he always been so tall?) Her eyes are red and puffy from crying. She gets up and and gives him a quick curtsy, before starting to gather her pouches and boxes and bags. "I'll be my usual place, if anyone needs me." She says it to no one in particular, and then starts to shuffle out with her armfuls of stuff.

Grand Duchess Victoria arrives at the portal room, a dozen staff with her, carrying blankets, food and water. At a wave of her hand, her staff disperse amongst the people in the room handing out the supplies they brought and helping people up. They perform basic first aid on those injured. Stepping forward Victoria nearly bumps into a trembling fox-kin, recognizing Kai she stops and puts her hand on the youngsters shoulder. "Glad to see you are here safe Kai" she says with a small smile. Looking further into the room she spies Siegart and Sarryn, and moves towards them, waving briefly at those bowing in respect as she passes and taking no notice of those too busy to make recognition.

Stopping near them she says "Gentlemen, I am glad that you have made it alive. I have brought my people to help, they have supplies and bandages. If anyone is in need of places to stay I have a fleet of messengers standing by to send word to taverns and inns who can help secure rooms, please use them. Is there anything else that I can assist with?" She looks to both men and waits for them to reply.

Zanthia arrives shortly after the Grand Duchess, her face showing her worry. Behind her come a handful of Earth Weavers, immediately attending to the injured.

Zanthia approaches the Archmage and Sarryn, frowning.

Shin awakens after being knocked unconscious, a small amount of blood soaking his hair and in a slightly delirious state sees scarlet leaving with billin but bleeding then stumbles over and without thinking places his hand on him and incants a cure serious wounds from one of Scarlett's magic items. "Get your *** to safety. I'm gonna stay with Evo till he and the AS stuff are behind a circle then I'll come find you at the hammer outfitters compound assuming that's where your going." Not even waiting for a reply, shin quickly turns away and limps towards Evo

Grunting and favouring the non-bleeding leg Siegart inclines his head gratefully to the Grand Duchess, "As always your help is more then appreciated your Grace. Unfortunately I do believe your visits to the Breach are going to be put on hold indefinitely, or at least until we begin to rebuild. It was laid waste by a red dragon of all things, besides a few bumps and scrapes I believe we're all alright thankfully though." The Tari Nor mulls over his thoughts for a few moments, choosing his next words carefully, "I know I was to escort Xamot to a dinner at your estate in the near future however this catastrophe changes my priorities slightly. If I could request that my apprentice Ruki take my stead in escorting Xamot, I know he has something he must ask of you while I must away on my steed within the hour if possible."

"Lady FateSpinner," the ArchMage begins after a slight bow in her direction. "I would require you to come with me on my excursion. It seems you are about to embark on a longer journey than you may have thought when you awoke this day." He looks around the room, seeing more movement from those that made it through the portal. He then sets his gaze directly upon her. "Please ensure your affairs are in order for a lengthy absence. When you believe they are, please meet me in my chambers to discuss the journey. It will be several days as I need to hear back from my scouts as to the fate of the Breach, the Observatory and the status of the Lux. Will that give you enough time?"

"Yes. Thank-you." She nods, looking around the room, "It seems we have a lot to do. Tengu and Talon arrived at the enclave before I left and filled me in. Many appear to be eager to return; some too hastily."

She turns to her Earth Weavers and issues some orders to take the injured back to the Enclave for care.

The Lord Blackburn's eyebrow raises when the Grand Duchess' staff sweeps into the room, not completely understanding how such an effort could have been organized quite so quickly. He watches coolly as the Fatespinner then follows with her own people, thankful that the portal chamber was built to hold quite a number.

As both the women stop in front of the group where he stands, he bows slightly to each in respect for their stations, but his gaze remains neutral upon Victoria.

That is, until, in listening quietly to the exchange, Xamot is mentioned by Siegart. The man’s eyebrow raises even further, and his eyes go from the Tari-Nor then back to the Grand Duchess, his expression darkening but remaining polite.

"I was not aware of this... event." His deep voice rumbles, a slight caustic tone to his words. "I will make certain that he is not on the duty schedule, nor otherwise required by the Countess, Your Grace."

He turns from Victoria to address Sarryn, patting the young man on the shoulder. "I will be upstairs in my quarters, when and if you require my assistance."

Becky crumbles to the ground clutching her little pink treasure chest. "My pink cloak, the pretty bow my for hair, my whole wardrobe, it's all gone" she sobs.

Malithon arrived with the duchess, as escort, but stands to the side, out of the way. Observing all & keeping a sharp eye upon her mistress & the group of nobles, but she sees no need to interfere or any use of her talents required.
Upon hearing Seigerts words of the Duchess breach visits terminating, Malithon's countenance looks lighten.
At Blackburns, visible reaction to Seigert's words, Malithon stands a little more to attention & her piercing gaze is full upon him. She begins to focus her attention internally, & watches him minutely until he leaves the chamber.
If noticed by Archmage, Fatespinner or Blackburn, a head bob of respect is affected.
There is an imperceptible twitch of her lips at Becky's words.
