Oregon Event in May

lol. I probably won't be able to do anything major though because it's my first game on plot. *sigh* It will be a while before I can unleash my true evil self.

Maybe some day, I can run the big storyline that I have written out... someday...in several years maybe...
if you guys could read it though, all of you would honestly kill me.

Hey Hayley,

As a plot person with too many years under my belt, my only real advice I can give you is-

EXPRESS YOURSELF !

Don't be afraid to hold back in the beginning. Ask Mark or Marc about ideas and put yourself into it. You are obviously a creative woman and you don't want to think like that to start. Don't shackle yourself. People want hardcore, down to the gut, this is *my* fantasy plot so thick they have to cut through it with a hand grenade.

Some of the BEST plot I've seen came from the newest people. Hell, some of the best plot I've seen came from a fifteen year old.

I think you can do it. But remember- Have fun with it. :)

Barry

Yes, and remember that *my* introduction to plot in Seattle was being given an NPC who got run off pretty quickly... then came back in as his own twin brother. He was around for quite some time before 10%'ing (yes, for those who don't know- NPC's rez, too). And he would have killed Krieger, too... if it hadn't been for that meddling barbarian!

The point is that it doesn't matter what the idea is, it just might work. You never know what will and what wont until you run it. Don't be afraid to run with something, or to suggest ideas as things develop through the weekend. Quite often, plots just plain don't end the way they were supposed to (darned PC's ruining a perfectly good plan to KILL THEM ALL!!!... ahem... sorry)

You are part of a plot committee now, and that means you get to hear the screams of the innocent on a Friday night and know that it was you who caused it. Heck, it's keeping me from retiring.

Have fun!

I just figured something out . . . As one of the two people with powerful magic items, who are heavily tied in with the plot . . .

I'm gonna die. Repeatedly. And painfully.

As usual.

Yeah, If anything, I'll be NPCing . . . although not likely. I've got a camping trip to save for.

And yeah. . . Hayley on plot? I'm glad I don't have to compete with her. . . Her plotting ability makes mine PALE in comparisin. She's just so much more EVIL than I am. *shudder*

One question...are there going to be any characters Aeris knows??? please please...She needs a friend *sniff* :(

All I can say is, I've got 1,010 points of eldritch damage castable without using scrolls mind you for whatever you care to bring.
And I'm only seventh level.
Let's party people.

You know, to quote Alexandros the Walking Spell Shield: "No Effect!"

You could also be called the Amazing Sword Magnet, or the Vortex of Alchemy.

Oh, no you don't. I stop swords, he stops spells. You'd better believe that all I'm doing for most of Friday night is teaching him to fight dynamicly. In fact, hey Paul, do you have Shield? I might have to fix up my other ultralight shield for you if ya do. If we can pull the timing off right, and stock up on enough poison shield elixers, we'll be The Wall.

~Matt

You'll see my shield tomorrow, at the gameday. The important question for me is, should I wear a cloak? I'm thinking yes, because the only thing that can hurt me by hitting my cloak is alchemy. And it will really help in the Spell Wall idea I've been working on. But then, it catches alchemy. I don't know.

Did I hear alchemy?

Mwhahahha...

Gurv help Iffkar teach. Gurv smash for practice! Here, Zanros, here; Gurv teach you fight. Gurv good at teach. He smash you, you learn.

Just getting into the mindset a little early...

Gurv got something that absorbs spells, didn't he? One more addition to the Wall. However, I'm standing on your right side.

Plus, I've got two Parries a day. And immunity to Magic Weapons. Gurv can smash me, but anyone with a spirit linked magic weapon is going to meet up with my favorite phrase "No Effect" Followed by my second favorite "3 Silver"

Um, what is its a spirit linked weapon without a damage aura? Humm?

One really sad note there... a magic weapon can also swing it's base carrier. Normal or silver. Don't go thinking you're immune to everything. I'll warn my NPCs to switch up the carriers if something isn't working.
