What is your weapon of choice for hunting undead?

I've seen such undead as well.

But I think the occurance of them is few and far between.

Personally, I know that an Earth Aura alone will be more effective for me than even the strengest of Undead Slayers against the majority of undead. Espescially if the weapon also has a Damage Aura that increases my effectiveness beyond just merely allowing me to affect enemies that require magical weapons to effect.

But, then again, as a Biata I may be a bit biased.

Certes, but I suppose depends on your region. Dhe undead in Valdanis are slow, stupid creatures whereas all dhe liches are smart wit' how dhey metabolize.

But I bet there is a lot more combat with the slow, stupid kind than with the intelligent, planning kind, lich or otherwise.

And If you have both an Earth Aura and a Damage Aura if the creature appears to not be effected by the Earth Aura you can always not use it.

I'd rather have a weaker fighter be able to kill hit it with a single from an Earth weapon than use potentially life saving healing on an undead.

-T

Right, but one does it without using up consumable resources.

Tieran, the frequency with which you and I agree has been increasing at an alarming rate.

Dhis is true. I jus' say damage aura eez dhe best route for what he say he's trying to rid Fortannis of. Nye jus' dhe undead, but dhe masters dhat pull dhe strings.

I'll certainly battle liches again and generally speaking I hunt all undead. However it's the most powerful monsters I'm asking about: death knights, ancient vampires, greater liches, and the like.

Deat' knights? Dhey are nye normally necromantic. No more dhan knights of any ot'er plane. Wherefore would you want to "hunt" dhose?

Ezri-

It is not increasing at an alarming rate.

Does that make you feel better?

Marcena-

A Death Knight is most certainly necromantic. They are a form of undead. It is very hard to be one without being the other. In fact, I would put that in the impossible category.

You are probably referring to Death Elemental Knights, which are different. But still evil. As proven by the fact that they always try to kill me.

-Tieran

Dhe las' deat' knight I met was a knight of deat'. Not'ing more. He was nye necromanic, nye chaotic. He was very businesslike vhen he escorted mi compadres to dhe plane of deat'.

I do nye know much about dhat or why dhey had to go, dhough.

That was an Death Elemental Knight then.

Not a Death Knight.

Death Knights are Undead and have very little to do with the Plane of Death, other than their spirits not being there like they should be.

By far the best weapon for hunting undead is a resolve in your heart that they be destroyed, and stalwart companions who agree. Damage Auras have their place, and allow you to kill other monsters as well, an advantage over the Earth Aura. Earth casters have formidable weapons with their spells, but it defeats the purpose of Earth magic to summon forth pristine magic and just get it dirty by throwing it at Undead. The Celestial arts are by far the more moral choice, I steal the power of the plane of Fire to kill undead. True, many would see this as a bad thing, and I apologize if I offend any Vansir. But what it comes down to is "Is the magic I'm using renewable?" I can make more fire by just rubbing two sticks together for half a minute, it takes years to grow a tree. And really, who actually cares if a lightning elemental can't get it up because I cast too many Elemental Blasts?

Most animated skeletons are considerably weak and require no more than a little skill to dispose of. The magics keeping their "bodys" upright is particularly week in the joints, this is also true in thich bones.
Frost Skeletons have a chunk of ice or layers of frost holding joints together better, since they tend to use a sort of cold baced evocation this ice is not natural, kinda like chaos itself is considered unnatural.
Some undead appear to posses some sort of intelegence, this is a common mistake. They are more like bone constructs, with a certain ammount of intelegence inscribed onto the magic holding them together. Since the spirit is long gone, what your seeing is an empty shell that is attuned too the earth enought to allow this chaoit magics to flow freely.
All zombies, mummies, death knights, and so forth usualy are much "tougher" becasue of the ammount of magic holding them together. Obviously since they are a pillar of earth attunment they are controlled and minipulated easy for those utalizing more of the magic.
Keep an eye for: Leather straps holding bones together, metal spikes drivin into the joints, elements that differ from chaos visualy, any orginism attached too the undead even if it looks like organs.

The best weapon agenst any foe?
Knowlage.

Please remember that some undead you have seen and interacted with could differ than my personal expieriances. Creatures of all types can be very different when traveling through the mists.

Grandmaster of Necromantic Lore
Arkade Prince

Grandmaster of lore must mean something different where you come from than it does where I travel.

You say that undead don't hold any intelligence. You say that the spirit is gone.

Can you then explain the function of the following rituals:

Curse of Undeath
Gift of Life

...just sayin... you know,.. that vampire throwing dragon magic... probably not mindless.

For the record, I use a powerful Monster Slayer sword, created by the wizard Cedric. I am by no means the greatest swordsman, if my foe is looking at me.

Strap', joint', organ', element'... this is the secret Grandmaster knowledge?!? Too much... my,,, head.. going.. to EXPLODE!

Empty shell without spirit, pfft... has anyone seen this guy Arkade actually fight the undead before? Princess bought his Grandmaster Title from goblin'', he should go get his money back.

Go back to Necromancer School idiot. You have failed... again.

Most Undead are easy to make into dust, they should just go back to Arkade' house and chill out where they are safe.

-Air Raksa

So...yeah.
Isn't this the same Arkade person who I threatened to tusk in the daddy-parts? I'm glad that you are now a grand-master of necromantic lore. I would like to meet your students. Perhaps hitting you about the face and neck with their spleens will calm me down enough to actually drag you to a Magistrate. Squinting at undead to see if there have bolts will get you killed where I come from. If you see one, it means five more are around you trying to get their bite on. If it is missing flesh or just a skeleton kill it. If it turns out to be an idiot in a bone golem you apologize when they resurrect and tell them not to make another golem until they can afford a Quicksilver Soldier.

I think listening to that just made my world darker... and I already cannot see the Sun.

Please Arkade Just stop.

Until I Bring Back The Sun,
