Khale, I must admit that is disheartens me to know that your first reaction to someone thumbing their nose at you is to remove the offending thumb, most likely followed by the removal of the offending nose. It seems a most rash course of action. It is however your prerogative to do so, and it is well within your right insofar as no one seems to be able to prevent this regrettable loss of digits and facial features. Thus it would follow if a person is attached to their thumbs and nose they ought not thumb their noses at Khale Blacklight, unless they are wearing good solid gauntlets and a visored helm.
Which further proves the point I've been trying to make, do as thou wilt shall be the extent of the law. The issue of morality is not clearly defined for all, but the matters of action an consequence are less foggy. In this simple example someone chooses to poke a sleeping bear. Certainly there is no force preventing them from doing so, and when they bear wakes the poker obviously deserves whatever happens to them. Perhaps the errant finger should've considered the bears possible reactions before electing to rouse the bear in such a manner.
Now I'm not advocating anarchy or violence, I simply mean to say that if a person would simply consider the consequenses of their actions before they act a great deal of trouble might be avoided.
Khale, you would be wise to consider not your single opponents strength, but the strength of their friends. Many of the citizens of and visitors to the town of Briarpass have little love for you, and would not stand to see you assault their friends. If it's a death at the hands of the masses you want, or a stand against the horde, I can think of a far more noble cause to die for.
To the assemblage, it is known that Khale as a short temper and is quick to resort to the sword. In the past he has raised his sword against enemies to Wayside and to Briarpass, to defend the people there. What is to be gained from turning his ire onto ourselves, when there are so many enemies left to be fought.
On a more personal note. Khale, if your sword demands blood and is driving you to kill, it must be destroyed. There must be foul magic involved to turn a proud warrior into a rabid beast, you are not in your own mind. I wish that you would consent to allowing myself and Lady Mariel to examine the sword and its effect on your mind. I would see you stand once again in the light of honor that I know shines within you.
May we forever be free peoples,
Hennessy
