Riddles

Alright, here's another easy one:
  • As I was going to St. Ives,
    I met a man with seven wives.
    Each wife had seven sacks,
    Each sack had seven cats,
    Each cat had seven kits.
    Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
    How many were going to St. Ives?

Indeed, only the man going to St. Ives. Howsabout this one: What does a steel tongue taste?

You are driving a caravan into town, on the way you pick up ten hitchhikers,

on the way back, three are dropped off,

then twelve are picked up, then seven are dropped off,

then eighteen are picked up, fourteen dropped off,

eleven picked up, two dropped off,

nine picked up, one dropped off,

another family of six picked up, a family of eight dropped off,

thirty one picked up, six dropped off.

And finally, two picked up, four dropped off.

What color are the driver's eyes?

That's not a riddle... that is a "If a tea leaf is picked in Andar how many orcs died in Horn's End?" type of question. There is no way to know the answer either through deduction or just plain staring at the thing. :P

Alavatar you sneek! You stole my thunder.

Just for that, I disprove your earlier riddle with this: 1/0.
And this: 99!

Both larger then 9^9, no?

Technically, yes. However, there really aren't supposed to be symbols and the 9^9 is supposed to be written as an actual exponent.

Yes, but " ∞ " is a symbol, it's not a numeral. Though, extra points for cleverness. And your answer to my riddle isn't what I was looking for, though it might be descriptive.

Doh!

I just noticed... sorry for the chastise. :oops: My eyes are blue, therefore the driver's eyes are blue.

Is nye problem! I have been chastised worse for less than mere fox-ery! :D

A whole dream devoted to riddles, and I was unaware!?! How dreadful... well, now that i'm here, may I put forth a riddle of my own... ofcourse i shall.

It can be said:
To be gold is to be good;
To be stone is to be nothing;
To be glass is to be fragile;
To be cold is to be cruel.
Unmetaphored, what am I?

Woooo, bravo... looks like i have to go to the next level here, goody for me...

I am a box,
Full of that which is most rare.
But it isn't a flute,
And it isn't some hair.
Though soft be my bed,
I am as hard as a rock.
And though dull in the darkness,
I glisten once unlocked.
What am I, this box so strange?
To hold such a treasure,
Which is not so plain.

An oyster's pearl.
